Mid-summer heat/humidity will be in place for back to school Tuesday

Following a perfect Labor Day weekend we will be in for another pleasant night across WNY with temps dropping into the 50’s. Only the coolest So. Tier valleys may find some spotty AM fog forming.  Back to work/school Tuesday will bring continued nice conditions, though daytime highs will be a bit warmer with much of the area pushing into the mid 80’s along with increasing humidity levels.  Wednesday will likely be dry for most of the day, though by evening the approach of a slow moving front may prompt a few spotty showers.  Into Thursday that front should sag across the area with on & off showers, though rainfall amounts are not looking all that impressive unless we can locally pop up a few isolated t-storms.  The better looking window for rain is currently timing out from Friday night into Saturday with what currently looks like it is setting up to deliver a good soaking.  That system is currently favoring a much drier and cooler finish to the weekend.  We will keep a close eye on the timing throughout the week.

Leftovers of Hermine are still off the Northeast Coast and while they may interfere with the timeliness of flights from NYC to Boston for the next couple days, none of that moisture is expected to make it to WNY.
