Andrew J. Freeman, 21, Watertown, passed away early Sunday morning on November 12th from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Croghan.

The funeral will be 12 noon on Friday, November 17th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Champion Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 9 pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by his mother and father, Jon and Jona, Watertown; his brother Brian, Watertown; his paternal grandmother Beverly Freeman and maternal grandmother Linda Gates; his uncle and aunt Kerry and Lisa Freeman and his aunt Alison Barringer, all of Watertown. He was predeceased by grandfathers James Freeman and Alfred Gates.

Andrew was born in Watertown, April 5, 1996, a son to Jon and Jona Gates Freeman. He graduated from Copenhagen High School in 2014. He worked at Cazenovia Equipment in Burrville during the summer of 2014. Andrew furthered his education at SUNY Cobelskill through an internship with the college and John Deere. While in college, Andrew worked at Cazenovia Equipment in Burrville on his breaks from college. He graduated from Cobelskill with a degree in Agriculture Engineering and returned to work full time at Cazenovia Equipment and was employed there at the time of his passing.

Andrew was a member of the Lewis County Junior Holstein Club and the Ag Engineering Club at Cobelskill.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and snowmobiling.
