Police arrest a man following domestic dispute in Elmira

ELMIRA (WBNG) — The Elmira Police Department is charging a man with multiple felonies following a domestic dispute Sunday morning.

Elmira Police said in a press release they have arrested 18-year-old Michael J Latour of Elmira for pointing a gun at a victim on 619 Church Street.

Authorities said that Latour allegedly pointed the weapon at the victim during a domestic dispute and they found a loaded gun during their investigation.

Officials also noted that Latour was taken into custody without incident.

The Elmira Police Department said they are charging Latour with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, a Class B Felony
  • Robbery in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, regarding a Robbery Complaint that occurred October 2.
