Robert Francis Anderson (Formerly of Watertown, N.Y.) Born: February 2nd 1941, Died: December 9th 2018.

Robert F. Anderson, Age 77, passed away peacefully in his home the night of Sunday, December 9th 2018. He was born on February 2nd 1941 in the city of Jamestown, New York to Merril & Mary (Bennett) Anderson. He would marry his wife Martha Jane (Harwood) Anderson (who passed 1977) in Watertown, New York at Sacred Heart Church and became a father of his 2 sons & 1 daughter: Scott F. Anderson, Stephen M. Anderson & Cynthia L. Anderson-Piper. Robert also had 2 brothers: Lawrence Anderson (who passed 2014) & Richard Anderson And 2 sisters: Patricia Anderson & Phyllis Anderson (who had passed away in infancy). Robert would end up serving his country during the Vietnam War and became a decorated soldier who earned many medals of honor. Robert spent a lot of time following his service researching his family history and being an avid chess player. He took an interest in a large range of music from Jazz to Classical, as well as photography in his later years enjoying many scenery pictures. He would go on to travel to many different cities across the country over the years and have many experiences.

Survivors include his 3 children, Scott F. Anderson, Stephen M. Anderson & Cynthia L. Anderson-Piper, his siblings Richard Anderson & Patricia Anderson, his son in law John R. Piper Jr., his 2 daughter in laws Jane (Mattingly) Anderson & Lisa (Hazelton) Anderson & his 7 grandchildren: (From Scott 2 children): Jesse S. Anderson & Martha Nicole Trotter. (From Stephen 2 sons): Trevor Anderson & Daniel Anderson. (From Cynthia 3 sons): Jonathan A. Anderson, Kyle N. Vargas & Brandon N. Piper.

A spring burial where he will be laid to rest with his wife Martha J. Anderson will be planned at the family’s convenience.
