VESTAL (WBNG) — The Binghamton University Boys and Girls Club Mentors hosted its 7th annual dodgeball tournament to raise money for children in the community.

The money from the tournament will go toward hosting a carnival for the children in the Boys and Girls Club. The organization raises about $1,000 every year, but this time, they hoped to double that.

“Our program is an after school program, so the first hour when you go to volunteer, it’s usually homework, so you’re either helping them with their math homework, or you’re reading with them,” said student and Community Outreach Chair, Chloe Germain.

Teams at the tournament competed on a bracket, hoping to take home a victory and prizes.
