Locals participate in swift-water rescue training

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WBNG) — This weekend, participants from Broome County trained in a swift-water rescue technician refresher at the New York State Preparedness Training Center in Oriskany, New York.

14 members from Windsor, West Windsor, Harpursville, West Colesville, and the Chenango Forks Fire Departments were at the training.

The refresher sharpened their swift-water safety skills and helped train for flood conditions involving persons stranded in flood vehicles and buildings.
