Junior Partner of Whole in the Wall restaurant, departs after 30 years

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — After 30 years with the Whole in the Wall restaurant in Binghamton, Junior Partner Stacey Gould is leaving the restaurant.

A Binghamton University graduate, Gould worked part time as a waitress and fell in love with the restaurant.

She eventually became Junior Partner to owner Elliot Fiks. While Fiks was the brains behind the menu, Gould kept things organized and helped implement Fiks’s ideas.

Gould came to her decision to leave in January of 2019, but she knows there wont be a whole in her heart. Rather, it will be filled with 30 years of memories.

“We have had the opportunity to cook for famous people, so having the ability to cook for Natalie Merchant or ‘Phish and Phish’ actually came here and sat around the big table. So, I’ve had some really fun things and opportunities like that,” said Gould.

Gould says she will be taking some time to herself in February to organize herself and move towards a few ideas she has.
